Jeffrey Getzel, founder and managing member of GSR, brings wide expertise in both accounting and business management to benefit his clients. Over a 25-year career as an accounting firm partner, he has been retained as a business appraiser, expert witness, business consultant, forensic auditor, auditor, accountant and tax advisor by numerous business owners, corporate officers, attorneys and accountants.

A graduate of Bernard Baruch College with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, Mr. Getzel earned a Master of Business Administration in Taxation from Hofstra University. He personally holds licenses to practice as a Certified Public Accountant in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Florida.

Jack Schiff has extensive experience in all facets of accounting, auditing and tax engagements, as well as strong expertise in various accounting software, to the extent that he has designed various programs for special projects. This level of computer ability has made a valuable contribution to our firm, enabling us to better serve our clients' needs.

Starting with Jeffrey A. Getzel & Company in 1987 as a staff accountant, Mr. Schiff distinguished himself and became a partner in January 1995. He currently reviews all audit engagements for technical quality and control. He is also heavily involved in business projections and valuations.

Mr. Schiff is a graduate of Long Island University, the C. W. Post Center, with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Accounting. In addition, he is a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is an Alumni of the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity.

Stephen Ross became partner in the firm of Ross, Ross & Co., LLP in 1992 and joined our firm as partner in January 2003. His areas of expertise are small business, personal income tax, estate planning and real estate management.

A graduate of the University of Miami in 1982, Mr. Ross has been licensed as a Certified Public Accountant by the State of New York since 1989. He is a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Christopher Pesce, CPA

Mr. Pesce has been in practice since his graduation in 1978 from the University of Dayton with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting.  Mr. Pesce was a founding partner of Samuel Cohen & Company, CPA's in 1986.

Mr. Pesce joined Getzel Schiff & Ross, LLP as a Partner in January 2010.  His areas of expertise include corporate, partnership and individual taxation as well as accounting and business management.

Mr. Pesce is a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
